Grenoble Charmeil Golf is designed in a unique environment. Grenoble, being the capital of the Alps, it is normal to except a mountain course.  What a surprise to discover that it is designed in the plain of the Isere valley, close to the mountain.

The 18-hole course - 6110, par 73, designed by the architect Jeremy Pern is flat, hilly, dotted with ponds fed by the natural lake which holds the central stage. The golf course has the peculiarity of having multiple facets: Scottish, American and French. Golfers will need to exercise technical and strategic common sense. What you need to control perfectly: drive and iron shots with occasional foot slope. The quality of the greens, which are often fast, are a good test to evaluate the quality of your putting. The overall difficulty of the course is rather high on the first half and average on the return. Other golf facilities include: academic 5-holes, practice 27 bays (8 of which are covered), 2 putting greens, approach green, proshop, etc.

The on-site 3* hotel features 50 modern and comfortable bedrooms, all overlooking the golf course and the mountain chain. People, who need internet connection, will enjoy the Wi-Fi available everywhere.  To relax, take full advantage of the outside pool.

Before and after a game, enjoy a drink at the Clubhouse. The panoramic restaurant benefits from a large shaded terrace. Enjoy a traditional ‘cuisine du terroir’.  

The historic route of the Dauphins: the Chateau de la Sone (historic private monument dating back to the 12^th to 17^th century), Museum of the French Revolution at the Chateau de Vizille, the exceptional Abbey of St Antoine, Museum Hector Berlioz, garden and Chateau Sassenage (the most beautiful home in Grenoble), Chateau de Longpra, the Grande Chartreuse Covent, etc. 

The gastronomes might prefer to visit the chocolate’s Palace, Liqueurs or Cheese Museum, Meunier’s distillery, La Grande chartreuse’s cellar, etc.

Sport lovers can use the aquatic centre and ice rink at Villars de Lans, try an elastic jump, horse riding rafting, canoreing, delta plane, winter and summer ski, park adventure in the trees.
