At only 20 minutes from Dinard, Saint-Malo and the Mont St Michel, the resort (part of the group Thermes Marins) offers on-site a 27-hole golf course, a 3 star hotel and 2 restaurants.

Designed in 1986 by Hubert Chesneau, who is also the architect of the ‘Golf National’ (French Open), both courses are set in the Mesnil forest, Robert Surcouf’s ancient hunting grounds and surrounded by the large Mirloup lake. The 18-hole course ‘L’étang’ (par 72, 6101m) and the 9-hole ‘Old Course’ (par 36, 2646m) boast spectacular views and many water hazards (13).

The hotel is within the 18^th century manor house, an old Priory, featuring open beams and stone walls and overlooks the lake and course. Recently renovated, the spacious rooms (30m2) benefit from terrace or balcony and many of them have a mezzanine to accommodate 4 people comfortably. All are equipped with modern comforts: air conditioning, en-suite bathroom (separate toilets), satellite TV, minibar, safe, etc. On site, there are two types of eateries. The Brasserie ‘Saint Yvieux’ serves for lunch snacks and simple dishes. For dinners the restaurant ‘L’Etang’ offers more elaborated menus.

Historically, Le Tronchet was a place of rest on the crossroads between Rennes & St-Malo, Mont St Michel, Dol-de-Bretagne and Dinan, and remains an ideal location to explore the treasures of the region.
